Singles Targeted Eviction Prevention (STEP) is dedicated to preventing eviction for singles and couples without children. The STEP program helps clients with their past due rent and utilities in order to prevent eviction.

The STEP program assists households without minor children. To request Eviction Prevention services for families with minor children, please contact Catholic Charities at 509-325-5005.
1. Complete Eligibility Questionnaire – Complete the Eligibility Survey to confirm that you qualify.
2. Schedule an Assessment Appointment – Contact SNAP to schedule an assessment appointment. Note: Assessment appointments are limited and may not be available.
3. Assessment Meeting – Conducted in person at SNAP’s downtown Spokane office. Bring ID and proof of income to this meeting.
4. Application Processing – If your application is pulled for service, an Eviction Prevention specialist will contact you to process your application. Note: Due to funding limitations, we are not able to process all applications.
