SNAP is your local community action agency, helping neighbors with housing, energy, and financial stability programs. We’re not connected to SNAP Food Benefits — and our doors remain open to serve Spokane County families in need.

SNAP and SNAP Food Benefits Are Not the Same
We know it can be confusing — there are two “SNAPs” in Spokane!
SNAP (Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners) is a local nonprofit that helps neighbors with things like energy bills, housing, home repairs, small business help, and medical transportation.
SNAP Food Benefits (EBT) is a state and federal program that helps people buy food. It is run by DSHS, not by us.
Right now, some people may be having trouble using their SNAP EBT cards.
Those problems do not affect Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners. We are still open and serving the community every day.
If you need help with your EBT card or food benefits, please contact DSHS:
- Visit www.dshs.wa.gov
- Call 1-877-501-2233
If you need help with SNAP’s local programs, please reach out to us:
- Visit www.snapwa.org
- Call (509) 456-7627
- You can also find a real-time update of our program statuses by visiting this webpage: www.programstatus.org
We’re still here for you as your neighbors by your side. 💛
