This year, SNAP Financial Access (SFA) proudly marks 20 years of opening doors to opportunity and prosperity in Spokane County. Since our inception in 2005, we’ve remained committed to saying yes to individuals, families, and small businesses striving to achieve their financial dreams. As a subsidiary of Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners (SNAP), we’ve built a legacy of fostering economic resilience, inclusion, and dignity in our community.

WHO WE ARE
For two decades, SFA has been a trusted partner in financial empowerment, helping Spokane County thrive. Through affordable and accessible loans, financial education, and personalized support, we’ve created avenues for underserved and marginalized communities to achieve financial independence.
OUR MISSION
At SFA, we believe in the power of possibility. Our mission is to deliver financial services and resources that enhance dignity and create opportunities for low-income and underserved populations. From launching small businesses to supporting homeownership, our work strengthens Spokane County and unlocks the potential within our clients and their communities.

WHAT WE OFFER
For 20 years, SFA has been saying yes to:
Small Business Loans: We’ve funded hundreds of businesses with loans ranging from $500 to $150,000, supporting entrepreneurs traditionally excluded from mainstream financing. Our clients include women, veterans, immigrants, 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, and communities of color.
Homeownership Support: Through education, counseling, and loan programs, we’ve helped first-time homebuyers and homeowners facing financial challenges achieve stability and success.
Foreclosure Prevention: As SNAP Financial Access celebrates 20 years of empowering Spokane County, we remain committed to providing vital resources for homeowners through our Foreclosure Prevention Loans. These loans are designed to help those who have exhausted options like refinancing or loan modification, offering a lifeline to keep families in their homes.
Financial Education & Coaching: Thousands of Spokane residents have gained the tools and confidence they need to succeed through our personalized coaching and training programs.
Business Center Services: We provide expert consulting, premium business training, credit-building resources, financing, and networking opportunities to help entrepreneurs thrive.
20 YEARS OF IMPACT
Since 2005, SFA has had a profound impact in Spokane County:
Economic Growth: We distribute over $3 million in loans annually, driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and community development.
Building Futures: We’ve helped countless individuals unlock doors to new homes, businesses, and financial independence.
Empowering Communities: As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we focus on delivering affordable, responsible financial solutions to underserved communities.
