Many low-income homeowners do not have the means to repair or maintain their homes, yet affordable housing often has dangerous or unhealthy defects. SNAP has several types of Home Repair Programs that can make repairs, or provide access to loans, for items in your home that pose health or safety hazards such as no heat, no water and low-cost plumbing issues.

Free or low cost minor repairs
- Must be an owner-occupied property.
- Households must be below 50% AMI (Area Median Income).
- If you are over 60 and not below 50% of median income, a sliding-fee scale is used to determine the percentage of cost SNAP will cover. This fee will be discussed prior to any work being done.
Washington State and Federal fair housing and lending regulations apply.
