FAQ
What is the service area of the Neighbors on the Go Program?
The program currently operates inside and in the near vicinity of the Mead, Millwood, Spokane and Spokane Valley City Limits. As capacity increases we will look to expand the program to include other areas in Spokane County such as Cheney, Five Mile, Liberty Lake, and Medical Lake.
How far ahead of time should I call in to make an appointment?
We request that riders call in no less than 2 days before trying to schedule a ride. We recommend calling in at least a week in advance to increase your chances of scheduling a ride for your desired time.
How much does a ride cost?
SNAP Transportation services are free to riders. Our drivers are not allowed to accept donations. If you would like to show your appreciation for the service we encourage you to make a donation to SNAP on our website www.snapwa.org
How often can I use this service?
While we don’t have a hard limit on how often this program can be used we do recommend that people try to limit themselves to around 4 rides a month. If you are in need of more frequent rides one of our Community Healthcare Workers can meet with you to explore other available options in the community.
Can I schedule a ride to get back home from my medical appointment?
Neighbors on the Go is a door-to-door service, which means when we schedule you for a ride, your driver will pick you up at your residence by coming to your door take you to your appointment, and be there to take you home when your appointment is complete.
