SNAP is excited to announce that the 12th Annual Dad’s Day Dash will take place in Riverfront Park on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024. In 1974, Spokane made history as the smallest city to host the World’s Fair. The City of Spokane plans to mark the 50th anniversary of EXPO ‘74 with a series of events. Dad’s Day Dash will be part of that celebration. Watch this page for additional race information. SNAP’s Dad’s Day Dash is a family-friendly 5k (or 1 mile) run/walk. Proceeds help support the 30+ SNAP programs that served 53,329 people in our community in 2023.

SNAP HOSTS 2023 DAD’S DAY DASH AT MANITO PARK
Nearly 400 enthusiastic participants crossed the finish line at the 11th Annual Dad’s Day Dash Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Manito Park. The race, organized by SNAP, provides funds to support families and individuals in the Spokane community.
“This is one of my favorite events that we host. I love seeing families enjoying the park, having fun together, and witnessing people running, strolling, and laughing—all for a good cause,” SNAP Philanthropy Manager and Race Director Mariah McConnaughey expressed.
The Dad’s Day Dash features a 5K run and a 1-mile fun run. Along with the race, participants created Father’s Day cards, enjoyed games, face painting, and DJ music. SNAP provided free superhero capes and masks for the kids.
SNAP positively impacted the lives of over 43,000 individuals last year with a wide range of programs, including energy assistance, home repair, rental assistance, affordable housing, homeless services, and small business development.
The Dad’s Day Dash is SNAP’s second largest fundraiser of the year. Chase Bank returned as the event’s title sponsor for the 11th consecutive year. Community sponsors included Arby’s, Arcora Foundation, Gee Automotive, Children’s Choice Pediatric Dentistry, Alliant Insurance, McKinstry, Kaiser Aluminum, Mainstream Electric, Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing, Divine’s Auto Repair, and Northwest Orthopedic Specialists. SNAP also received in-kind contributions from Fleet Feet Sports, Hi5 Orthodontics, Chick-fil-A, Negative Split, Seven 2, Yoke’s Fresh Market and various gift card donors.
“It’s an important fundraiser for SNAP, but it’s also a really great way to celebrate families,” said McConnaughey
Money raised from the Dad’s Day Dash will provide SNAP with critical and flexible resources to support people in need throughout the community.
