SNAP HOSTS 2025 DAD’S DAY DASH AT MANITO PARK

Nearly 300 enthusiastic participants gathered at beautiful Manito Park for SNAP’s 13th Annual Dad’s Day Dash, a fun-filled morning of running, celebration, and community impact. With a scenic 5K and a 1‑mile fun run, this beloved Father’s Day weekend tradition combined fitness, family, and fundraising—all in support of SNAP’s mission to serve Spokane County’s most vulnerable residents.
“This event is where fun meets purpose,” said Nicole Bishop, SNAP’s Interim Philanthropy Manager and Race Director. “Every step taken at the Dash helps strengthen the safety net for our community.”
From energetic runners to stroller-pushing families, the Dash welcomed people of all ages and abilities. After the race, participants enjoyed games, face painting, DJ music, and Father’s Day card-making. Kids were thrilled to receive free superhero capes and masks, proudly donning them as they celebrated with family and friends.
As SNAP’s second-largest annual fundraiser, the Dad’s Day Dash provides essential, flexible support for over 30 programs—including energy assistance, home repair, weatherization, housing, homeless services, and small business development. In 2024 alone, SNAP reached more than 39,000 individuals, helping neighbors stay safe, housed, and financially stable.
“This race provides SNAP with critical and flexible resources to support those in need throughout our community,” Bishop added. “It also highlights the generosity and heart of Spokane.”
SNAP is a 501c3 not-for-profit serving Spokane County residents who strive to exit poverty and build a better life. All proceeds from this event directly benefit SNAP’s mission to increase the human potential of our community by providing opportunities for people in need.
