Here are just a few of the great opportunities where you can help:
Community Educators - We need people who can teach and would be interested in leading SNAP conservation education classes.
Financial Services - We need someone who can spend 4 hours a week or more answering emails and phone calls, filing, and other computer-related duties as it relates to financial services. We'll provide the training - you bring your people skills!
SNAP Ambassador - SNAP is often asked to speak to groups of all sizes, or to be represented at community events. We're looking for extraordinary people, who like public speaking or one-on-one with people, that we can call on to be our ambassador in the community. SNAP Ambassadors will go through several hours of specialized training and represent our mission and values to the community-at-large.
Carpentry/Maintenance - We have several opportunities for someone with carpentry skills for small building and repair projects, and also need people who can help clean or empty apartments for rental.
Groundskeeping - Do you have a green thumb? Do you enjoy working outside? Several SNAP properties require year-round maintenance, from raking to weeding to hosing of parking lots.
Volunteers must be 18 or older; those under 18 may volunteer with adult supervision. Please call for more information.
