Do I need any special skills?
Many opportunities require only a desire to help others, but some volunteer positions require specialized training or experience to be successful
- Some skills are required for property maintenance

- Landscape installation and maintenance experience
- Tree and shrub pruning experience
- Clerical opportunities may require computer or other office skills

Will I have to pass a background check?
YES. All volunteers at SNAP are required to submit a background screening form.
The purpose of this background check is to protect the low-income and vulnerable people the agency serves.
How many hours a week can I volunteer?
The hours will vary depending on the project and your available time. SNAP volunteers serve between 2 to 30 hours per week.
