Transitional Housing

The purpose of providing transitional housing is to help the Participant Household make the transition from homelessness to fully independent living.

SNAP will provide support services for the Participant Household on a 30-day basis up to one year, so long as the Participant Household acts in accordance with all the program rules and requirements.

The Participant Households’ primary responsibilities will be to:

  • obtain permanent housing as soon as possible
  • attend two (2) life skills classes per month
  • continue with your two check-ins a week
  • meet with your Family Development Specialist for a weekly home visit to further assist you with your housing search and case plan.

After you have completed this program you are eligible to move to the next program that best fits your family’s needs.
