Life Skills classes

SNAP provides 16 different Life Skills classes for our local community. They address issues of value to low-income households, including:

  • money management
  • rebuilding your credit
  • home care
  • home search
  • tenant/landlord information
  • healthy choices
  • personal boundaries
  • effective communication
  • conflict resolution,
  • living green
  • employment preparations
  • parenting strategies for single parents
  • energy conservation
  • goal setting.

SNAP Life Skill classes can be used as an extension of case management and you may be asked to relate what you learn in the class to your current circumstances. They are free and upon completion you will receive a certificate of completion.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are these classes offered?

We try to offer all of our Life Skills classes each month, varying the time and day of the week that each class if offered. We make every effort possible to have at least twp classes after hours each month.

How long are the Life Skill classes?

Most of SNAP's Life Skills classes are completed with in 2 to 3 hours.

Do you provide daycare for my children?

We request that you find alternative day care for your children, with the exception of newborn children under 3 months of age.
