Emergency Housing

The purpose of providing shelter services is to help the Participant Household make the transition from homelessness to fully independent living.

SNAP will provide emergency shelter for the Participant Household on a month-by-month basis for a total of up to 90 days, so long as the Participant Household acts in accordance with all the program rules and requirements.

You will be asked to:

  • attend two Life Skills classes per month
  • continue with two check-ins each week
  • meet with the assigned Family Development Specialist for a weekly home visit to further assist you with a housing search and case plan.

After you have completed this program you are eligible to move to the next program that best meets your needs.
