Do you pay for emissions tests?
No, we do not pay for emission tests or re-tests.
What kind of car repairs are free?
Only those that are emissions related repairs. We only provide repairs that will allow the car to pass the emissions test.
Can you fix the car no matter the cost?
Unfortunately, no: Sometimes the repairs required are well beyond the program's ability, such as, cylinder work, burnt valves or major carburetor repairs. Many cars do not have enough life left in them to warrant this expense.
Do you pay for my license tabs?
No, we do not pay for license tabs or registration fees.
How do I know the work done to my car is necessary?
The repair shops participate voluntarily and are overseen by the Department of Ecology. These shops have all entered into an agreement with SNAP to provide quality car repairs and are willing to stand behind their work.
