SNAP receives a variety of in-kind donations, including food, clothing, blankets, household items, apartment furnishings and gift certificates.

Food Bank

SNAP operates one food pantry at the Northeast SNAP office. We accept non-perishable commercially processed and packaged foods from individuals or groups (service clubs, schools, churches, Scout troops, businesses). These items are always appropriate for donation:

• Peanut butter
• Canned meats & fish
• Canned soups
• Canned meals
• Boxed meals
• Canned vegetables & fruits
• Pasta & grains
• Personal items - shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste & soap.

Homeless Program

SNAP's Homeless Program is in need of items to help families build new futures. The program is in need of:

• Gift cards
• Diapers
• Toiletries, such as toothpaste and deodorant
• Bus tokens
• Cleaning supplies
• School supplies
• Batteries
• Light bulbs

Property Management Program

SNAP's Property Management Program is in need of items to help maintain our homeless structures and transitional housing units.

• Couches and/or love seats
• Television
• DVD/VCR player
• DVD and VHS movies
• Extra large cork bulletin board
• Exercise equipment such as a treadmill or weight machine
• Outdoor children's playground equipment or swing set
• Family board games and children's books
• Carpet cleaning machine
• Maintenance hand & power tools
• 2 gas-powered leaf blowers
• Vacuum cleaners
• Power washer
